Well, it’s time for the MLB to something else to change baseball around. Guess it’s just that time of the year… Pitchers reported to Spring Training a week ago. Position players are due in this week or next. Steroid allegations are soon to start, I’m sure. Interestingly enough, instead of cleaning up their players’ endocrine system, they’re going to help clean the sweat off their brow…
Looks like MLB is getting new caps. Guess that means that I need a new St. Louis Cardinals cap. This one’s pretty cool. I never saw that before. My birthday’s on Saturday if anyone’s reading this blog. Otherwise, oh well.
Being a geek and a flaming liberal myself (not really, but I do lean a tad to the Left), I’m extremely interested in fighting abuses of our Fair Use rights. I was very happy to find this: The 95 Theses of Geek Activism. I’ve perused the list and it’s a pretty good list of social, corporate, and political abuses of Fair Use, as well as just things that every person (not just geeks) should know about their electronic rights. People who aren’t following the different fights might find the list confusing, but feel free to post a comment here or on the site. Someone will help explain them.
Nyki and I went out to dinner with some friends I used to work with about 5 years ago. You don’t really realize just how much you miss having an excellent work life that spilled over into your personal life. I just hope we didn’t scare off the people at the other tables…
